It's been quite some time. I tried new techniques on this one, and am kind of proud to say I barely used the water tool which I tend to use a lot while painting. I still am bad with backrounds, however.

I'm glad to see you're still doing these! Nice work on this. I love what you did with Twilight's face, though I think the contrast between the detail on the face and the lack of detail on the neck makes them look a little disconnected. I'd also like to take this opportunity to say that I love the way you draw manes.

Thanks! I see what you're getting at about the lack of detail on the neck and such, but unfortunately I couldn't do much about it. Trying to detail it was rather difficult, and since the face was the focus, I didn't think I should have. About the mane, I wanted to make it look like it matched the overall picture and wasn't just a random-looking clip-on like the hair on one of my previous pieces(Inner Monster). Having said that, I'm still practicing hair.

backgrounds are not the focus point here, its true that BG's make everything better but still i want to see what kind of focus you can do with the characters... and yes iam pretty sure this is like a shrivel up twilight and for some reason i like it

Haha, thanks. At first I was going to draw her as a ghoulish Twilight, which would have been more smooth and skeletal, but then the lines started appearing and I went with it because it looked pretty unique. Now I think of it more as a demonic Twilight.
